2014 Reunion InformationA gathering of Arlington Eagles occurred August 16, 2014 (reception 6:00 PM — 7:00 PM, dinner & entertainment 7:00 PM — 11:00 PM) reuniting many who attended the Arlington Schools in Atlanta (Ben Hill). The reunion was held at the Renaissance Waverly in NW Atlanta (inside the perimeter where I–75 N crosses I–285; across from Cumberland Mall). The cost was $70 per person, which included dinner. There was a block of 10 rooms for Friday and Saturday night at $119 per night for those who wanted to stay at the Waverly. For this rate, reservations were made by July 25. The reunion was for all students in all classes (whether graduates or not) who remember the school prior to the major changes that occurred in the late 1980s / early 1990s. All teachers, administrators, and Members of the Board were invited. Parents were also welcome. In addition, the current owners of the school allowed us to visit from 1:00 - 3:00 on August 16. Many people pitched in to make the reunion a success. Lane Newell Ritch and Janine Crist worked on the program and arrangements and helped set up the room. Linda Ferguson assisted with decorations, displaying and archiving memorabilia, and room set up. Bonita McCullough Geary helped with room set up. Kerry Marchman and Lee Wilkerson initiated and coordinated the musical entertainment. Patrick Belt arranged for alumni to visit the old school building. A number of alumni made monetary and "in kind" donations. Sandy Brownlee Lawrence and Cathy Brownlee Wood donated a beautiful wreath and stained glass for door prizes. Bo Pitts donated coffee mugs with the Arlington seal on them. The current administration of the school donated tee-shirts. A huge Thank you! to everyone for making the reunion a great success.
